After watching my Son train in Personal Defense Systems and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over a year, I decided to give it a try. What began as a personal challenge, rapidly developed into a quiet obsession! This was back in 2006, and despite the fact that I had never trained in any other martial art (and had been completely inactive prior to beginning my schooling) I quickly fell in love with the training style, the mental and physical challenges and the overall conditioning that both of these disciplines had to offer me.
I feel passionately about what EvolveAcademy has to offer their Students. When I was asked to become an Administrative Director and Part-time Instructor, I couldn't refuse. I truly believe that EvolveAcademy is the most unique martial arts training facility in the area. Not only does Master Moses' PDS System offer our Students the most "cutting edge" Personal Defense and Muay Thai Training, but our BJJ program is one of the most sought after programs in our region. The level of instruction is unsurpassed and the focus of each class is, and always will be, on the Student.
I have found that my work outside of Evolve Academy has helped me to carry over my passion for helping others, into the school. I spend a great deal of time volunteering in my community, as well as doing volunteer work for the public school system. Not only are these jobs a rewarding and fulfilling way to connect with those who live in my area, but they help to offer me insight into why people think and act the way that they do. This work, along with my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy, has provided me with the foundation to become a more intuitive, insightful leader at Evolve.
